Austin packing

Hiking by the lake

Boxes, boxes everywhere

As you can see, we’ve begun packing.  We still have 2 weeks before we move, but with so much going on we don’t want it to creep up on us.  We’re not too stressed out yet, but the plan is to have most things finished before time runs out.

Happy Father’s Day

We had a great Father’s Day here in Texas.  We went out for lunch, watched one of the Star Wars movies while we lazily laid around on the couch, and then did a few productive things around the house.  I’m very thankful for my kids!

In Austin

We’re in Austin for the day – spending time with family, along with meeting up with some old friends…

Austin’s Graduation

Austin has finished Kindergarten, and I have to say that he’s done quite the growing up this year.  I know that this is normal for his age (Jackson changed a lot at this age), but it seems harder to believe with Austin, probably because he has been the baby for so long.

He is doing well with his reading, is aware of so much more of the world around him, and is Mr. Personality.  In the past year, he’s played soccer, basketball and T-ball – and has excelled at each.  While his behavior wasn’t the best in his class, I’m hoping that there is a little bit of maturing over the summer so we can get through 1st grade with a few less color changes on his behavior chart.

He can be thoughtful, helpful and very sweet when he wants to be.  It’s amazing to me to watch his little personality develop (which is SO different from his brother’s) into the little man that he is becoming.  I can’t wait to see how he is as a BIG brother come October!

Moustache May 31

‘Tis a sad day.  Moustache May comes to an end.  It was a month o’ fun.  As I shave the lip, I may also have to shave the head in mourning.  Goodbye friends.
